Stop for photos and short breaks before arriving at the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its striking clay architecture and its appearance in films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
Continue to Ouarzazate, the cinematic capital of Morocco, where you can visit the Taourirt Kasbah or the Atlas Film Studios (optional).
Journey through the Skoura Oasis, dotted with palm groves and ancient kasbahs, before reaching the Dades Valley, known as the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. Admire the spectacular rock formations, winding gorges, and vibrant red landscapes that define this region.
Spend the evening at leisure in Dades Valley or nearby Boumalne Dades, surrounded by breathtaking nature.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

Depart Dades after breakfast and travel through the picturesque Valley of Roses and Tinghir Oasis, lined with date palms and traditional mud-brick villages.
Arrive at the Todra Gorges, an incredible natural canyon with 300-meter-high cliffs — a paradise for rock climbers and photographers alike. Take time to walk along the river, meet local Berber families, or enjoy mint tea in a nearby café.
Continue your journey through the Saharan plains to the town of Erfoud, famous for its fossils and date market. From there, drive to Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes — the golden heart of the Sahara Desert.
You may choose to relax at a local riad, enjoy optional camel trekking, or simply admire the tranquil beauty of the desert before sunset.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, visit Rissani, a traditional desert market town known for its ancient souks and connection to Morocco’s royal Alaouite dynasty. Stroll through the bustling marketplace, where nomads come to trade livestock, spices, and handmade crafts.
Then, drive through Alnif and the dramatic landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing remote Berber villages and arid valleys.
Follow the route along the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river valley, lined with countless palm groves and fortified kasbahs. Stop for scenic views and photos before arriving back in Ouarzazate, where you can relax and unwind after a long drive.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech

Today’s journey takes you back toward Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again. Enjoy flexible stops along the way to visit local cooperatives, have lunch, or take photos of mountain panoramas and small Berber hamlets.
Arrive in Marrakech by the afternoon or early evening and settle into your accommodation for a night of rest or exploration.

Day 5: Marrakech Discovery (Optional Guided Day)

Spend the day exploring the vibrant city of Marrakech, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual heart. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, an architectural masterpiece overlooking the old medina, and the Bahia Palace, known for its intricate stucco and colorful gardens.
Discover the Saadian Tombs, a hidden royal necropolis, and wander through the enchanting Majorelle Garden, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent.
In the afternoon, lose yourself in the maze-like souks filled with spices, carpets, and artisan crafts, then end the day at the lively Jemaa El-Fna Square, where storytellers, musicians, and food stalls bring the city to life.

Day 6: Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech

Embark on a relaxing day trip to the coastal gem of Essaouira, a UNESCO World Heritage city once known as Mogador. En route, stop at an Argan oil cooperative and learn about the traditional process of extracting this golden Moroccan oil.
In Essaouira, explore the blue-and-white medina, walk along the historic ramparts, and visit the bustling fishing port, where colorful boats bring in the daily catch.
Enjoy fresh seafood by the ocean, shop for local handicrafts, and take a stroll along the beach before returning to Marrakech in the evening.
